On December 16, 2019 in Hotel Izgrev Stip, starting at 12:00, a press conference was held for the project “Climate Health Friendly Institutions” – a partnership between Clinical Hospital Stip and the Municipality of Goce Delchev.

The press conference was attended by representatives of the two project partners, media from Republic of North Macedonia, representatives of the East Planning Region and representatives of the municipality of Goce Delchev and Stip. The project teams presented the activities and goals of the project where it was emphasized that the Infectious Diseases Department in the Stip Clinical Hospital will get a new facade, windows and electricity. This marks the beginning of the first phase of the reconstruction of the infectious disease department, from the completed cross-border project “Climate friendly health facilities”, between the municipality of Stip and the municipality of Goce Delchev from Bulgaria.

The project is extremely important and is worth 238,000 thousand euros, funds that will be used to reconstruct the infectious ward in the Clinical Hospital. These are EU funds from the cross-border co-operation program. Our capacities are available, our main challenge for our municipality remains to work on drawing European funds in order to use the available capacities from the programs of the European Union. – said the mayor of Stip, Blagoj Bochvarski
